Our History
A Heart For West County
From our humble beginnings, Lifegate Baptist Church has strived to remain true to God’s calling for us. We’ve sought to be willing to step out in visionary faith and take risks for God, and He has blessed us for that. In looking back at our journey, we can clearly see God at work. This gives us hope for the future and inspires us to continue to seek to impact our community with the message of Jesus Christ.
In 1975, the Lord placed a desire in the heart of Pastor Dan Deatrick to start a Bible-based, evangelistic, Spirit-empowered church in the greater St. Louis area of West County, that would impact this local community and beyond.
By God's grace, Lifegate has continued on and will seek to reach the surrounding communities of Wildwood, Chesterfield, Ellisville, Ballwin and others. We would love to have you be a part of the journey to come!
Our Purpose
KNOWING CHRIST.
The most important decision anyone can make is to know Jesus Christ personally. We want every man, woman, boy and girl to know Him.
GROWING TOGETHER.
Once we know Him, God desires for us to grow in our knowledge of Him and our love for Him. Biblical teaching and preaching are the cornerstones of growth.
SERVING OTHERS.
We are kept here on this earth to show the love of Christ to those we meet. We believe that serving others in small and big ways allows us to reach people with God's love.
Our Beliefs
We believe that the Bible is the perfect, inspired Word of God. We believe that accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Savior is the only way to Heaven.
